Monsters and Make-up and Monkeys, Oh My!

What a great movie season to be thirty-something. Hollywood seems to be aiming directly at my age bracket this year.

First, Iron Man, and man did it deliver. Having now seen it twice i am not sure their is a person out there who would not like this movie. The swinger himself directs, Mrs. Coldplay, THE DUDE, Melon's friend from Back To School, and a suit of armor. A new franchise is born.

Then, Speed Racer. i cannot think of a movie with a monkey in it that sucks. If you liked the cartoon and went to any rave in the 90's you are going to like this movie. Another stellar cast: into the wild lords of dogtown, that lady from rocky horror, another Lebowski alumni, the guy from the princess and the warrior, and of course... chimp chimp. Christina Ricci was made to be an Anime character. Did i mention chimp chimp's in it? The brother's deliver.

And, of course, the trailers. There's a new Hulk movie coming out with Ed Norton and Tim Roth. The heavily anticipated new Batman movie (looks dark as hell). A new Frank Miller inspired movie: The Spirit. Finally, the new Indiana Jones movie.

i'm going to be sooo poor by the end of this summer.

Man. United For Cuties

Congratulations to Manchester United, winners of the Premier League and with a Champions League game coming up next week there is a possibility of another trophy this season.

This week the new Death Cab For Cutie album comes out so this week's video is their first off the album. It's a bit long so make sure you have the time. A great crescendoing groove reminiscent of Transatlantisism. Cute girls never hurt a video either.
