C.S.L. (confetti soccer league)

Does David Beckham have a confetti clause in his contract? Two LA Galaxy games, two fields covered in confetti. Come on America, let's save the confetti for New Years and keep it well away from our sporting fields.

Although we are a step up from Scotland with their game changing field balloons.

Breath, That's All You Can

Well, i was listening to Moby's new cd and got thinking "what ever happened to raves?" Do they still have raves and have i become so old that i just don't know about them anymore? Then i started to feel a rant coming on. Then my rant idea was cock-blocked by the idea to rant AND rave as an Angels & Airwaves song came on during the intro to the Revolution game. Then i started thinking about boobies, but finally came back to a rants and raves for this month so far.

Shit that's bothering me right now:
Sand - Anakin was right, it gets everywhere. Because of all you pussies out there that want safe roads to drive on throughout the winter, every spring we are left with massive amounts of sand EVERYWHERE. The scooter-driving skateboarder in me hates that as it gets warm and the snow finally disappears i still am limited to where i skate and scoot due to a beach apparently throwing up on all of the northeast.

Ads during TV shows - Really, every seven minutes or so i am bombarded with a commercial break, do you really need to advertise things along the bottom/lower corner of the screen during TV shows? Am i being punished because i have figured out how to skip commercials with DVR? Let me watch without some cheesy animation telling me when the next episode of some shitty show i'm not going to watch is on, or at least lower my cable bill if you are going to expose me to more advertising.

And the good stuff:
Video games - After renting God of War II with a coupon, i am addicted to killing mythical creatures. If i see a unicorn on my way to work tomorrow that fucker is SO going to feel my wrath! i also fear for my bank account as the PS3 is rumored to go down in price this summer.

Text messaging - i have said it before but oh how i used it this past month. So nice to be able to communicate at any time from anywhere without having to actually talk to anyone. Thanks to technology i could even more easily decide to never actually talk to anyone ever again. Maybe i'll take a vow of silence for the month of April (my student's probably wouldn't mind).

Float - This song off Flogging Molly's latest album of the same name is great.

Tetris for the Ipod - The iPod has now given me another way to waste time while waiting in, well, waiting rooms. i can play AND listen to music at the same time while trying to ignore the people around me.

Sunshine - Both the actual light now coming from our closest star now that spring is here and the Sci-Fi movie. i have now forced a few more people to watch this movie, none of which actually liked it nearly as much as i did. But that's OK. It wasn't as depressing as friends' reaction to my showing of DeathRace 2000. Maybe i just like weird movies.

Jack-et al.

Well, this week's survey is self-centered on my part. i have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket and am looking for something to replace an Ireland warm-up jacket i found in Boston years ago that i have not been able to fully replace since it became unwearable.

So i shall include pictures of three jackets that i am thinking about but none are quite perfect. It's up to you to help me decide which i should go with. Vote to the right.

#1 :Ireland warm-up (entire suit for same price as other jackets) - gray + not Nike

#2: Manchester United Jacket + black - Nike and AIG ads

#3: Celtic Jacket + green (like jacket it would replace) and i have no Celtic gear to date - Nike and Carling ads

Please help me decide.
