Perry Was Right: Idiots Rule
Politics. It is that period in the cycle where it is impossible to escape mention of the run for the White House in any form of media. You poor bastards will not find refuge on this page. As all this pundit trash is being shoved down our throats i feel the need to vomit it out of my system.
1PunkMonk will not be supporting any candidate due to the fact that i live in a politically retarded state where you must pledge allegiance to one of the two parties to be allowed to vote in the primaries. As an independent thinker i am registered UNDECIDED because really, should not the best person win, no matter the party affiliation?
Let us start with the jackasses, or donkeys as they prefer to be called:
Obama - i will not stoop low enough to make any humorous play on his name. Why, because what the fuck does that have to do with how good or bad he would be as president. i am extremely excited that a black male is a serious contenders in the running this year. This is far too long overdue but am glad it is here just the same.
What i am extremely disappointed in is where he stands on the issues. He gives speeches that get everyone excited yet says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like some jock at a pep rally. Again Americans are thinking about who they want to have over for a barbecue instead of who has some good ideas on where to take our country. Let us look at the most important issue, the environment (whether you agree or not it IS the biggest issue because if something is not done in the next 4 years it will be too late and without a planet the economy and the middle east will not make any difference). i was able to actually find somewhere hidden away some statements in regards to this important subject. Mr O wants to burn coal. Yes, coal. The dirtiest thing you can possibly burn to produce power. Oh, and by the way, there is no such thing as clean coal. It is like light cigarettes. Moving on.
Clinton - No not Bill, although if he could run again you know he would take it in a landslide. Again i am very excited that a woman is considered a strong contender in this presidential election. It is far overdue that we have more than upper-crust white males as our president. Now we have upper-crust minorities running as well.
She has the best looking environmental plan, although it is not great and is quite compromised for the usual political reasons. Also, when looking for leadership i like to have someone smarter than me steering the ship. Most of us work for bosses we think are idiots and it would be nice to have someone in the White House who is smart again. Hillary is one smart cookie. Lastly, you know she wants universal health care. Why are we one of the last rich countries without universal health care?
All this being said, i look at her political track record. i do realize that what she can do in her current position is limited by this crazy administration and republicans holding power up until now, but, she plays the game and why should we expect her to do more if she gets into the White House? Actions speak louder than words.
Edwards - He has some interesting standings and clearly speaks his mind on the issues. Self-made is a plus. Still, i can never really bring myself to fully trust lawyers. OK with environmental ideas but again, a little too slick. He leaves me feeling a little oily.
That Guy From New Mexico - Yes i refer to him as such because otherwise you probably would not know who i was talking about. Again hurray for another minority in the running. Too bad he does not have a chance. He is the most experienced for the job. What a record.
Kucinich - A vegan with a hot wife. Let's hear it for vegans with hot wives (like me). This is the most attention he has gotten lately. No other Dem is even worth mentioning.
Oh yeah, there is another party in the running. The ones that are probably going to lose because everyone in both parties are so sick of the current idiot in the White House. The big, fat, gray animals:
McCain - Once upon a time he seemed like a good guy that either party could stand behind. Now he has compromised and let us down sooo many times he may qualify as an invertebrate.
How does he believe half the shit that comes out of his mouth? Delusional.
Giuliani - Holy shit this guy scares the shit out of me. To adjust a quote from The Big Lebowski: "What does anything have to do with 9/11?"
Huckabee - Evangelicals scare the shit out of me. This seems to be a common theme. Have you seen the movie Jesus Camp?
Romney - He is not even in the White House and he has already started lying. Pace yourself buddy, you are jumping the gun. Do you realize that things you say on TV are recorded and can be played back? Neither does Bush.
And then there are some other white guys with gray hair too, i think.
i really want to be an active, participating citizen but somehow in the last eight years i have gone from someone who volunteers to drive people who cannot drive to the polls and someone who brings people waiting in long poll lines food to someone who is having a tough time convincing himself that voting is worth it given the choices.

Ma Nature Is A Skitzo
Well, it seems that you, the readers, feel the pinky finger is the least valuable of the lot. Thankfully that is the one i damaged the most.
With all the daily fluctuation between what might be perceived as winter, spring, winter conditions as of late i figured i'd see which season most of you prefer.
It's amazing how quick i get used to slightly warmer temperatures, but i would like to get quite a bit more snowboarding in before we call it quites on winter.
