Idiots Rule

With my curmudgeonly ways i am frequently mistaken to be antisocial. i genuinely enjoy spending time with people i just can not stand insincerity, which unfortunately mean i can not stand a large percentage of the population. Despising insincerity also means that i will not "fake it" with you.

i find this to be more a case of integrity rather than antisocial leanings. Although i do not listen to "The Hives" i did catch an interview of them a few years ago and something the lead singer said has stuck with me. Paraphrasing to the best of my memory, he said that 70% of the population are idiots and all we can do is try to meet and spend as much time as possible with the other 30%. i could not agree more.

i can not stand dressing up for things, it is like starting a lie before you have even arrived. i do not swear frequently in general conversation but i do not like being around people that i can not swear in front of. i would rather watch a movie than watch what i say, although in adulthood i find myself in situations where i have to do all of the above with more and more frequency.

i think i have done a pretty good job of surrounding myself with the other 30% but minimizing contact with the larger 70% is something i struggle with. The more time i spend with the sincere, the harder it gets to tolerate the insincere. If i am already curmudgeonly now, what lies ahead in my future?

i think i've solved the energy crisis... feed me rice pilaf and vegetarian brown beans washed down with cherry coke. i could warm the house for the entire winter.

What do you do when your president (correction THE president, i didn't vote for him) refuses to answer questions he doesn't want to answer? When exactly did the government forget that they work for us?

i'm tired of people just treading water until jr leaves while he does whatever he wants and fucks up not just our country but the world at large. i'm tired of thinking about how the future terrorists that he has been giving birth to will possibly end up attacking civilians while he happily sits in luxurious retirement.

When a guy couldn't even make money with a Texas oil company and couldn't cut it as owner of a baseball team how the fuck did anyone ever think that he could run a country. Fuck everyone who voted for him. Fuck them up their stupid asses. Fuck Fuck Fuck.
