Well, i really put the Fallen Chief's vegan black/white edition through the ringer and i needed a new pair of sneakers for the fall. The Chief's are one of my favorite sneakers i have worn in a long time and i almost just ordered up another pair but decided i should look things over again as the fall lines are now out.
Now the Fallen Cheif's have been on my feet since the day i got them except for sleeping and showers and they are still very supportive and wearable. They held up very well, i just have gotten them so dirty (the one down side to the current good-looking trend of white rubber connecting soul to shoe) and there are some small holes and rips from activities beyond which any sneaker should be asked to endure. This all heavily swayed me towards the Fallen fall line.
i am currently about a week into a pair on Fallen Lotus (the charcoal/black are vegan friendly with mostly synthetic uppers except for small canvas patches). They seem to be a perfect Harmony (edition) of some recent favorites of mine. As posted in my original Vegan skate shoe post of this year i really enjoyed the styling and feel of the Macbeth Manchesters but unfortunately they lacked the padding and support i prefer in a skate sneaker. i still wear them for leisure activities but the Fallen Lotus seem to be a great combination of the aesthetic and comfort of the Macbeth's with the support and durability of the Chief's.
So far the Lotus are doing great by me. They have broken in quickly and are extremely grippy and flexible. Either way, i am just pleased that these companies are helping to provide so many quality options for vegan skaters.
