Have A Nice Trip?

With just about one month left in fall i am deep in my "Fall" playlist.  There is nothing like vegan grocery shopping while The Smiths are playing in your earphones..."I am human and I need to be loved". How about raking leaves as Geoff from Thursday sings about how the leaves "are giving up on us".  Or even trying to hold back the tears while Tom Waits sing how "what I miss you wouldn't believe... shoveling snow and raking leaves" in Day After Tomorrow while hours later you still find yourself raking the never ending pile of leaves.  Is it the beauty of the song that brings the tears or the fact that it is pitch black, approaching freezing, and i am still raking.  They will be icicles soon.

As i have done before, i will share a playlist.  This time under the topic of Fall.

1. in my tree - Pearl Jam
2. country feedback - REM
3. prince caspian - Phish
4. nonfiction - The Black Crowes
5. day after tomorrow - Tom Waits
6. adam's song - Blink 182
7. firefly - Saves The Day
8. stars - Hum
9. how soon is now? - The Smiths
10. how long is the night? - Thursday
11. fake plastic trees - Radiohead
12. lilac wine - Jeff Buckley
13. bubble gum years - Gomez
14. off he goes - Pearl Jam
15. time - Blind Melon
16. lightness - Death Cab For Cutie
17. how much for your wings? - The Black Crowes
18. namaste - Beastie Boys
19. butterfly - Weezer
20. on your own (acoustic) - The Verve
21. mouthful of cavities - Blind Melon
22. around the bend - Pearl Jam
23. autumn leaves revisited - Thursday

Why is this fall playlist so 90's and british heavy? Well, reader, both the Seattle-centric alternative era and the isle of the British Empire seem to be caught in a fall-like condition for most of the year.

There you have it.  Do not fret, a month from this weekend the days will be getting longer.
