End of the World?

Bush still president, Italy winning the World Cup, Milan beating Manchester United? Wasn't this all prophesied in Revelations?

i think some grad student needs to do an anatomy case study on Italian soccer player's because i am lead to believe that they are missing some valuable bone mass in their ankles. Randomly they seem to collapse onto themselves at the most convenient of times yet magically are perfectly fine moments later. i worry that this may be some possible genetic disease or even a decrease in bone density caused by local water contamination as some non-natives playing for Milan seem to be catching it as well.

Gattuso (or Beard-o as i affectionately call him) needs to be given an American football helmet and sent to play a sport with all the other low-brow Neanderthals so he will stop disgracing soccer with his troglodyte ways. He looks like an inbred pitbull chasing a chicken out there.

Why is it that every time an Italian team plays in a significant, deciding game there are ridiculous calls, near fights, and lots of injuries that seem to rapidly heal once play has stopped? i could get into how the lousy weather conditions actually favor Milan's boom-ball play over Man U's on the floor precision but i shaln't go there.

To be fail i must discuss problems with my boys Manchester United. Unfortunately they have never filled the hole left by Keane. Yes they have gotten some amazing talent in Rooney and Ronaldo (yes i admit it) but they are still missing two key 'Keane-doms'. First they are missing leadership. Not the kind of leadership you get from a coach but that leadership out on the field. Second, they are missing the equalizer. If someone (like let's say Beard-O) got out of line, Keane would knock them back into line (or back onto the bench). Man U is missing that now. For a second i thought Rooney would pick that up but he seems to have not.

Also, for a moment or two i think i saw Manchester's B-squad defense wearing skits. Maybe, or maybe not but Kaka was sure step-dancing around them like they were. Man United's missing defensemen left a real hole on the team's line-up. i can't help but wonder what would have happened had Man United been at full strength?

Well, at least we still have the Premier League ahead of us. Sorry Treble, not this time. Good luck boys on Saturday.
